Open your calendars and mark 30 September [Friday] – 2 October [Sunday] 2011 as "Busy". In fact "Busy" will be an understatement. The 9th rAge expo, held annually at the Coca-Cola Dome in Gauteng, is the established benchmark for interactive entertainment and hosts the wholesale gathering of South Africa's thriving gaming and technology community.
Best known as South Africa's premier computer, gaming and technology expo, rAge brings together the most popular and cutting-edge games, technology, gadgets and gaming-related products under one dome.
"We are happy to report an attendance growth of 8% from 2009 with a total of 20,316 visitors at the 2010 rAge expo. Additionally 2,080 NAG LAN tickets sold out in 36 hours. This year we expect to top 23,000 visitors with the LAN selling out in record time again. The psychosocial demographic of our visitors has also exploded in recent years, from our earliest rAge events visited primarily by your characteristic gamer, we now see many more families and consumers from all age brackets and LSM categories. Gaming is now truly for everyone," says Michael James, Senior Project Manager for rAge.
