Unprecedented Growth, Record Number of International Game Developers, and a Marriage Proposal This place is going to blow! The Coca Cola Dome was bursting at the seams this past weekend with the latest video gaming and entertainment technology, as well as 26,594 rAge expo visitors! Now in its 9th year, rAge, sponsored by Samsung, enjoyed an unprecedented turnout, increasing feet through the door by just over 29% from 2010.

24 June 2011 – Samsung Snaps Up Sponsorship
The rAge (really Awesome gaming event) expo has more than earned its title as South Africa's premier gaming event; building its audience from a couple of thousand in the early days of 2002, into an interactive gaming and technology beast that pulled over 20,000 visitors last year. Bearing testament to rAge's heavyweight status, international technology brand, Samsung, has taken up the reigns as the headline sponsor of rAge 2011, which earns them exclusive naming rights for the 2011 expo.

But don't despair; hope fights side by side with Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish. 21 September 2009 - Guitar Hero: World Tour National SA Championships @ rAge
Samsung will be hosting the World Cyber Games Guitar Hero: World Tour National SA Championships on Saturday, 3 October 2009 at rAge 2009. Players will do a 1 vs 1 battle in Guitar Hero: World Tour on Xbox 360 for a chance to compete against the winners from 72 other countries in the 6th annual World Cyber Games Grand Finals taking place in Chengdu, China from 11-15 November 2009. The SA winner from rAge 2009 will be flown to China to compete in the WCG Grand Finals.
14 September 2009 - Computer Gaming and Your Family
Michael James, director and organiser of the upcoming rAge 2009 technology expo taking place from 2 – 4 October 2009 at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate, believes there are far more benefits than there are disadvantages to gaming, and that managing your child’s exposure to violent content is no different to managing what they are exposed to on TV and the Internet. “Age restrictions are there for a reason – whether it’s on a movie, book or computer game, they need to be adhered to and parents need to supervise and guide their children irrespective of the medium,” says Michael.

If you’re still planning to get yourself a ticket to the NAG LAN @ rAge, forget it!
