THE OG BYOC LAN EXPERIENCE!
The BYOC (bring-your-own-computer/console) LAN (Local Area Network) is South Africa’s largest three-day twenty-four-hour celebration of gaming.
The LAN is a unique experience where the online world and the real world come together for an unforgettable weekend. Surrounded by hundreds of avid gamers who share a passion, this is where long-time online friends finally meet in the flesh, and new friends and memories are made forever.
There are two ticket types:
BYOC LAN General Pass (R950 per person) is a standard 3-Day LAN ticket and grants access into the LAN from 06h00 on Friday to 15h00 on Sunday.
BYOC LAN Super Pass (R1,250 per person) is an extended 4-Day LAN ticket and grants access into the LAN from 18h00 on Thursday to 15h00 on Sunday.
LAN gamers will be required to pack up their gaming stations and exit the LAN area by no later than 15h00 on Sunday due to the expo closing at 16h00.
A BYOC ticket will get you:
a chair (or you can bring your own)
a shared trestle table (between two people)
two dedicated plug outlets to power your PC/console and monitor
high-speed gigabit fibre connection
network infrastructure, which includes one network cable
access to rAge Expo for all three days
There is no reserved seating for Super Pass or General Pass ticket holders. Seating is on a first come first serve basis for all ticket holders. You can hold seats for your friends if you arrive before they do.
The LAN is a secured and restricted area – you cannot enter without a BYOC LAN Pass ticket/wristband.
Your LAN ticket acts as an expo pass, meaning you can enjoy everything that rAge Expo has to offer on all of the days.
You will need to bring your gaming rig – PC/console/laptop, monitor, keyboard/gamepad, mouse, headphones, games i.e. your whole gaming rig.
